We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Educator to join our team at East Coast Community Healthcare CIC. As a Clinical Educator, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of our staff and students, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Education and Training
- Plan and deliver a suite of training programs to support our Clinical Education and Workforce Development Strategy.
- Participate in the creation of competency frameworks to ensure our staff and students meet the required standards.
- Use a range of educational and training equipment and technology to provide learners with access to learning resources and safe use of clinical tools.
- Practice Education
- Support workforce in practice to embed evidence-based practice and high-quality standards of service delivery.
- Work with leadership to understand gaps in skills and knowledge and plan accordingly.
- Assist mentors and practice educators to facilitate the integration of theory and practice in students/learners/trainees.
- Professional Development
- Maintain continuous professional development in line with organizational policy and professional regulators.
- Recognize own learning needs and source activity/support required to meet knowledge gaps.
- Contribute to the ongoing evaluation and development of the post and improve own knowledge utilizing appraisal and review processes.
- Qualifications
- Professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Registered Nurse Level 1 (Adult).
- BSc in Nursing Practice or evidence of working at an equivalent level.
- Mentor Preparation or equivalent.
- Train the trainer or willingness to undertake.
- Personal Attributes
- Be a positive role model and embody our culture, values, and signature behaviors.
- Willingness and ability to work across different sites with different staff groups.
- Commitment to lifelong learning to support the development of this role and maintain professional registration.

- Experience
- Proven experience of post-registration experience in practice within a community or community hospital setting.
- Previous experience of working with pre-registration learners in the practice setting/adult learners/healthcare teams.
- Good knowledge of the NMC Approved programs and associated regulatory standards.
