Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Procurement Strategist to join our team. This is a challenging role that requires strong commercial acumen, analytical skills and a measured approach to decision making.

You will support the Divisional Procurement strategy to ensure business needs are met, focusing on value for money, quality delivery and risk management. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing category strategies for elected categories, sectors and localities, closing gaps and identifying and realising opportunities to optimise the number of suppliers and leverage high performing suppliers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support Business Units to manage existing and new supply chains.
  • Collaborate with Central and other Divisional procurement teams to develop and share best practice and technical expertise.
  • Work with preferred suppliers in order to deliver best value, cost savings and service level improvements, achieving high quality and standardisation across the division.
Requirements:
  • CIPS qualified (or in-progress) or equivalent with operational experience of managing and working within diverse and complex organisation.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a proven track record of identifying and delivering substantial savings.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced organisation across the UK, with a diverse supply base and wide geographical spread of contracts.
