Job Description
  • Work closely with our Operations Team, Deputy Manager, and senior care staff to deliver exceptional care standards within your home through regular meetings and collaboration.
  • Promote Residents' Rights at all times by ensuring all staff have completed their mandatory training, upholding their dignity and well-being.
  • Develop and maintain relevant clinical knowledge and current best practice depending on your personal clinical experience, staying updated on industry developments.
  • Establish and implement clinical and care review processes to effectively monitor performance at Home level, driving continuous improvement.
  • Provide Clinical Supervision as required to qualified Home staff, particularly nurses and clinical leads, fostering growth and development.
  • Proactively manage risk to ensure compliance with standards and customer safety, maintaining a safe environment for residents and staff alike.
  • Liaise closely with Regulatory bodies to build effective relationships, responding promptly to requests for information and ensuring we meet their expectations.
  • Support colleagues within our Homes to develop the knowledge and expertise needed to deliver clinical care in accordance with best practice advice and guidance.
  • Maintain staffing levels in line with CQC, Local Authority, and Aurem Care requirements, participating in the recruitment of all levels of staff to ensure we have the right people in place.
  • Understand and support policies and procedures related to Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, upholding our commitment to their protection and care.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times, adhering to Data Protection and Caldicott Principles, and following the NMC Code of Conduct without exception.
  • Foster excellent relationships within the region and with external agencies to build and maintain a positive reputation in the local community, promoting our brand and values.
  • Stay informed about changes in the care environment, adapting our approach as necessary to ensure we remain at the forefront of care delivery.
Requirements
  • No less than 2 years of experience as a Residential Care Home Manager.
  • A strong background in elderly and dementia care, with a deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by this population.
  • A valid NMC pin, demonstrating nursing experience and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • A sound knowledge of CQC regulations, with a focus on maintaining compliance and driving improvement.
