About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our Herefordshire Recovery Service team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in empowering and enabling young people to change their lives for the better.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assessments, treatment, and psychosocial interventions to 11–24-year-olds using drugs and alcohol.
  • Work alongside a range of partners in criminal justice, housing, mental health, and health and social care.
  • Manage a caseload of clients across the county, requiring flexibility and adaptability.

Requirements

We are looking for an individual with substantial knowledge and/or experience of working with young people, as well as a deep understanding of alcohol and other substance use issues. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to work dynamically on a one-to-one basis and promote recovery through relapse prevention and other skills.
