About the Role
We are currently seeking an Opiate Addiction Support Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care and guidance to service users. Your passion for helping others will be at the forefront of your work as you empower individuals to make positive life changes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering assessments, treatment plans, and psychosocial interventions to drug and alcohol users
- Working collaboratively with clinicians, recovery workers, and peer mentors to provide holistic support
- Maintaining regular contact with clients to monitor progress and adjust plans as needed
- Collaborating with external partners in criminal justice, housing, and health and social care to ensure comprehensive support networks
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A strong understanding of substance use issues and relevant treatment pathways
- Experience working with vulnerable populations or related fields (health and social care)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- An ability to empathise with clients from diverse backgrounds
