Substance Use Specialist Nurse

Job Overview
At Turning Point, we're committed to helping individuals overcome substance use challenges. As a Specialist Substance Use Nurse, you'll play a vital role in empowering people to change their lives. With a passion for delivering high-quality care, you'll work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive support services.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough health and wellbeing assessments, including Blood Borne Virus (BBV) screening and vaccination.
- Support the management of alcohol & opiate community detoxifications, administering IM pabrinex & injectable buprenorphine as needed.
- Deliver harm reduction and well-being interventions to a range of service users.
- Contribute to shaping service delivery and delivering outstanding clinical services.
Requirements
- Qualified nurse registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council.
- Access to RCNi for revalidation, indemnity insurance, and support from the nurse manager and clinical lead.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine interest in helping individuals with diverse needs.
