Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Balance Sheet Forecasting Manager to join our team at NatWest.

  • This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to take on a challenging role, where you'll be responsible for producing the bank's Funding & Liquidity plans and associated deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

As a Balance Sheet Forecasting Manager, you'll assist with producing the bank's Funding & Liquidity plan under base and stress scenarios, including proposing bank-level funding & liquidity plans and actions.

You'll also:

  • Assist in the delivery of the funding & liquidity plans, including 9+3 budget cycle, ICAAP, Bank of England's annual stress test, EBA stress tests, and ad-hoc scenarios.
  • Plan for forecasts and recommended actions for both internal and external use.
  • Obtain, review, and challenge business franchise and function inputs to the Funding & Liquidity forecasting process.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with funding & liquidity risk appetites and supporting measures over the planning horizon, and recommend remedial actions as appropriate.
  • Assist in the integration of the Group funding, liquidity, and Holding Company plans, with consideration to Capital & Treasury P&L implications.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to deliver enhanced forecasting capabilities.

Requirements

A good understanding of accounting, especially in the financial services industry, is essential. An understanding of Funding & Liquidity is desirable but not essential.

You'll also need:

  • An accountancy, banking, or treasury qualification.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Good planning and organisational skills.
