About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Risk Actuary to join our Balance Sheet Oversight team within Group Risk at Phoenix Group Holdings. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of informed and effective decision making to drive the company strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the line 2 oversight of the Group's prudential compliance with the PRA Rulebook and Supervisory Statements, including producing quarterly reports and coordinating the Supervisory Statement attestation of compliance.
- Support the annual review of the Group's Recovery and Resolution Plans.
- Provide Line 2 oversight on the newly introduced Matching Adjustment Attestation.
- Support the wider Balance Sheet Oversight team on topics related to capital, liquidity, climate risk, and With-Profits.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the Actuarial and Finance teams to support better risk management.
- Communicate effectively with a technical actuarial audience and simplify communications of technical issues to a non-technical audience.
Requirements
- Qualified actuary with experience in the Risk, Finance, or Actuarial functions of an insurance company or similar.
- Education - Undergraduate Degree (or equivalent).
- Knowledge of the Solvency II regulatory requirements and the ability to interpret emerging regulation as it develops.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to flex for different audiences.
