About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Community Liaison Officer to join our team in Hestia's Domestic Abuse service. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in fostering strong relationships with local communities and stakeholders, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible support.

As a Community Liaison Officer, your primary responsibility will be to engage with local communities, build partnerships with other agencies, and facilitate access to our services. You will also be required to work closely with our team to develop and implement strategies to promote our services and engage with hard-to-reach populations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with local communities, build partnerships with other agencies, and facilitate access to our services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote our services and engage with hard-to-reach populations.
  • Work closely with our team to identify and address the needs of our clients and the local community.
  • Represent Hestia at local meetings and events, promoting our services and engaging with stakeholders.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £28,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience of working in community engagement, partnership-building, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of the local community, including its strengths and challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and IT skills.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues and the ability to apply these to your work.
  • A full valid driving license.
