About the Role

As a Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician at Amazon, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to perform proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of site equipment, including mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse, using advanced tools and techniques to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring compliance with health and safety policies and best practices.
  • Support the development and progression of on-site apprentices, providing guidance and mentorship to help them grow in their roles.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects, identifying opportunities to enhance equipment effectiveness and operational efficiency.

Requirements
  • Served a full Engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject.
  • Relevant experience as a qualified engineer, with a strong background in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
  • Advanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writing.
