Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Management: Ensure all aspects of the Quality Management System are upheld, within your scope of responsibility.
  • Inspection and Measurement: Perform inspection and measurement on new products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Documentation: Prepare appropriate documentation as required by customers and for internal purposes.
  • Support to Senior Quality Engineers: Provide support to Senior Quality Engineers regarding customer complaints.
  • Internal Rejects: Document internal rejects and take corrective action to prevent future occurrences.
  • Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs): Create SOPs to ensure consistency and quality in our processes.
  • Calibration System: Maintain the calibration system, ensuring all equipment is calibrated and records are maintained.
  • Vision System: Programme, troubleshoot, and operate the vision system to ensure quality and accuracy.
Requirements
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a sheet metal/fabrication environment would be advantageous.
  • Quality Assurance Experience: Experience working in Quality Assurance would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to Learn: A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to new challenges and environments.
  • Training: Training will be provided where required.
  • Measuring Equipment: Proficient in the use of basic measuring equipment.
  • Portable Measurement System: Experience of operating a portable measurement system, e.g. Faro arm.
  • Engineering Drawings: Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Geometric Tolerancing (GD&T): Basic understanding of geometric tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Microsoft Office: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to demonstrate the application of attention to detail.
  • Teamwork: Work individually and as part of a team.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility: Flexible approach to carrying out tasks.
