Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Inspection and Measurement: Conduct thorough inspections and measurements of new products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and reports as required by customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Quality Management System: Ensure all aspects of the Quality Management System are upheld, within your scope of responsibility.
  • Support to Senior Quality Engineers: Provide support to Senior Quality Engineers regarding customer complaints and quality-related issues.
  • Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs): Create and maintain SOPs to ensure consistency and efficiency in quality-related processes.
  • Calibration and Maintenance: Maintain calibration systems and ensure all equipment is calibrated and records are up-to-date.
  • Vision System Operation: Operate and troubleshoot vision systems to ensure accurate product inspection and measurement.
Requirements
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a sheet metal/fabrication environment would be advantageous.
  • Quality Assurance Experience: Experience working in Quality Assurance would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to Learn: A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to new challenges and environments.
  • Training and Development: Training will be provided where required to ensure you have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform your role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in the use of basic measuring equipment, experience of operating a portable measurement system, and ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work individually and as part of a team.
Working Arrangements
  • Location: Ferryhill
  • Hours of Work: Monday - Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-12:30pm
  • Rates of Pay: Up to £28,000 depending on experience
