About This Role

This Architect/Urban Design Officer role offers an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality developments across Glasgow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert architectural and urban design advice on development proposals, policy guidance, and regeneration initiatives.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, including local community representatives, statutory bodies, and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the Development Management Planning service through pre-application and development management casework.
  • Offer detailed specialist advice to a range of stakeholders, including input to public realm and open space projects.
  • Manage the Glasgow Urban Design Panel and collaborate with other teams to achieve shared objectives.

Requirements

We are looking for a qualified professional with a degree in Architecture, Urban Design, or a related field, and significant experience in a similar role.

Previous experience working with stakeholders, multi-disciplinary teams, and statutory bodies is essential.

Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) Membership and/or Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) membership are desirable.
