This role involves supporting the Transport Planning team manager in providing expert input in delivering sustainable urban drainage systems and current technical roads advice. You will work closely with the team to process applications for planning permission and ensure that developments meet statutory and corporate outcomes.
About the Team
The Transport Planning team is responsible for developing and implementing transportation strategies that promote sustainable growth and development. We work closely with other teams within Glasgow City Council to deliver projects that improve the quality of life for our citizens.
Responsibilities
- Support the Transport Planning team manager in providing expert input in delivering sustainable urban drainage systems and current technical roads advice.
- Process applications for planning permission and ensure that developments meet statutory and corporate outcomes.
- Work closely with the team to develop and implement transportation strategies that promote sustainable growth and development.
Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will require strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to provide expert input in delivering sustainable urban drainage systems and current technical roads advice. You should have a good understanding of the city's development plans and be able to analyze data to inform decision-making.
Salary Range: £37,500 - £47,500 per annum
