About the Job

Peterson is currently hiring a Commercial Driver to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials to designated locations, using your knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations to ensure timely deliveries.


Responsibilities and Expectations
  1. You will operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods and materials to designated locations, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  2. Load and unload cargo, taking care to properly handle and secure items to prevent damage or loss.
  3. You will plan and follow the most efficient routes for deliveries, using your knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns to minimize delays.
  4. Regular communication with dispatch is essential, as you will need to receive and respond to delivery instructions and updates.
  5. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays.
  6. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, reporting any issues or concerns to management.
  7. Provide exceptional customer service to clients during deliveries, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $62,000 - $75,000, depending on experience. Peterson also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.


Requirements and Skills
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • You must be able to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary to effectively interact with dispatch, coworkers, and customers.
  • Previous experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver is preferred.
  • Familiarity with local roads and traffic regulations in the area of operation is essential.
  • You must be able to maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service while on the job.
