Job Role: Stores Operative - HMP Lewes

Location: HMP Lewes

Salary: £26,614.62

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

We are seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team at HMP Lewes, a CAT B Male prison. As a Stores Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock control and efficient ordering processes.
  • Operate forklift trucks and other equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from various departments to achieve common goals.
  • Contribute to a safe and secure environment by adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with colleagues, prisoners, and visitors.

Requirements:

  • Fork Lift Truck Certificate
  • Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
  • Full driving license preferably with D1
  • HGV Licence
  • Up to date First Aid at Work Qualification
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
