Job Role: Escort / Fabric Operative

Location: HMP Lewes

Salary: £24,513.46

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team at HMP Lewes, a Category B & Male prison. As an Escort / Fabric Operative, you will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth and safe operation of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of building fabric and infrastructure
  • Provide escort services for prisoners and staff
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure the effective operation of the prison
  • Contribute to the upkeep of a safe and secure environment for all

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a prison environment or similar setting
  • Knowledge of hand and power tools
  • Previous experience of working within a building fabric / Hard FM environment
  • Up-to-date First Aid at Work Qualification
  • Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
