We are seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team at HMP Lewes, a CAT B Male prison. As a Stores Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock control and efficient ordering processes.
- Coordinate and facilitate the movement of goods and materials within the prison, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with colleagues to resolve issues and optimize operational processes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including facilities teams and administrative staff.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Fork Lift Truck Certificate
- Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
- Full driving license preferably with D1
- HGV Licence
- Up to date First Aid at Work Qualification
- Good Health & Safety knowledge
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
