Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Risk Management Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Operational Risk Manager in developing, implementing, and maintaining Ki's risk management framework, policies, and practices.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Risk Assessment and Reporting: Support the management of the operational risk assessment process and provide regular reporting to management and Board committees.
- Risk Identification and Management: Assist in identifying, assessing, managing, and reporting operational risks in line with the Risk Management Framework & Policies.
- Risk Event Reporting and Analysis: Cooperate with teams for risk event/incident reporting and engage with the business to assess and report on 'lessons learned' from risk events and action tracking.
- Risk Culture Promotion: Engage with risk owners and the business to promote risk management and a strong risk culture.
- Professional Development: Keep up to date with Risk Management theory and make suggestions for practical application in Ki as relevant.
- Ad Hoc Risk Management Training: Assist in ad hoc risk management training exercises carried out by the Risk Management team.
- Education and Qualifications: A willingness to learn and a passion for risk management and technology.
- Skills and Experience: Excellent organisational, analytical problem-solving skills within a fast-paced, agile work environment. Strong computer literacy including a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
- Previous Experience: Previous operational risk management experience gained within the insurance sector is desired, along with any progress towards CII or IRM certification.
- Functional Background: Functional background that includes implementing and/or operating risk management frameworks in regulated industries.
- Risk Management Knowledge: Good knowledge of risk management tools and disciplines as well as awareness of the commercial drivers and dynamics affecting risk decisions in the insurance sector.
