Clinical Stroke Specialist Physiotherapist

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Stroke Specialist Physiotherapist to join our team at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our integrated stroke team, you will provide high-quality therapy to patients with complex needs.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a proven track record in assessing and managing patients with stroke-related conditions. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and therapy support workers, to deliver evidence-based treatment programs.
You will be responsible for supervising junior therapists, support workers, and undergraduates, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure their professional development.
Key Responsibilities- To assess and manage patients with complex stroke-related conditions, using principles of physiotherapy in an integrated and client-centred way.
- To develop and implement individualized treatment plans, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
- To supervise and appraise junior therapists, support workers, and undergraduates, ensuring their professional development and contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- To contribute to the evaluation and service development within the clinical area, aligning with national and local drivers.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A degree/diploma in physiotherapy, registered with the Health & Care Professions Council.
- Experience of working in the NHS in the UK, with a strong understanding of stroke management and rehabilitation.
- Proven ability to network with other professionals, establish close working relationships, and contribute to team effectiveness.
