Established as a centre of excellence in stroke care, Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Band 4/5 Locum Physiotherapist to join our integrated stroke team.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated physiotherapist to provide high-quality, evidence-based therapy across both our hyper-acute and acute stroke units. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver excellent patient care and support the development of junior therapists and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions in line with national and local guidelines, utilising the principles of Physiotherapy in an integrated and client-centred manner.
  • Assume responsibility for personal development and contribute to the supervision and appraisal of junior therapists and other staff members.
  • Support evaluation and service development within the clinical area, aligning with national and local drivers.
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree or diploma in Physiotherapy.
  • Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council.
  • Experience working in the NHS in the UK.
  • Proven ability to supervise, appraise, and provide education/training to others.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of approximately £32,000 - £41,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including opportunities for continuing professional development and career progression within a supportive and dynamic team environment.
