We are seeking a highly skilled nurse to join our team as a Senior Acute Medicine Practitioner. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to utilise their expertise in providing high-quality patient care.

As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering safe, compassionate care to patients requiring specialist stroke services. Your excellent nursing skills and outstanding interpersonal abilities will make both staff and patients feel cared for and supported.

The role involves providing expert emergency clinical practice, advice, education, and effective nursing management of people who have experienced stroke. You will also support compliance with local and national audit documentation and the delivery of the National Stroke Strategy.

Main Responsibilities

  • To communicate effectively and actively participate in Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings to aid patient care, joint treatment sessions, case conferences, and specialist interest group meetings.
  • To co-ordinate stroke review and liaison for patients on stroke or other wards to optimise early stroke care.

Person Specification

  • Registered Nurse with the Nursing Midwifery Council with significant post-registration experience.
  • Essential that the applicant is substantially qualified and experienced in acute medicine.

Estimated Salary: £38,890 - £44,590 per annum, depending on experience.
