Community Midwife Specialist

We are seeking experienced midwives to join our continuity of care teams and Homebirth Team at Haywards Heath and Brighton.
The successful candidate will provide high-standard midwifery care to women and pregnant people during the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods in both acute and primary care settings. This includes conducting deliveries under own responsibility, providing necessary supervision, care, and advice, and carrying out newborn care.
Key Responsibilities- Taking full responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating midwifery care consistent with evidence-based practice.
- Discussing options and supporting parents in making informed choices about their plan of care.
- Analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of care and modifying pathways as needed.
- Acting as clients' advocates and empowering them to promote their own health and well-being.
- Referring clients to other practitioners when necessary.
- Evidence of championing diversity in previous roles.
- Experience in a wide range of midwifery settings.
- Current UK driving license.
- Child Protection Course.
- Counselling skills.
- Community Midwifery Experience.
