Estimator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at ITS (Southampton) Ltd. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in evaluating the costs of construction on maintenance and repair projects, developing budgets and estimates for clients, and consulting with engineers, architects, and contractors to review plans and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate construction costs on maintenance and repair projects
  • Develop budgets and estimates for clients
  • Consult with engineers, architects, and contractors to review plans and specifications
  • Identify and quantify costs, and recommend cost-savings strategies
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture
  • 3+ years of experience as an estimator in the construction or maintenance industry
  • Proven ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Excellent knowledge of construction materials, methods, and codes
  • Strong analytic skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently with minimal supervision
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary and package dependant on experience, up to £45,000. You will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and forward-thinking company, and contribute to the success of our Maintenance and Refurbishment team.

Projects range from £1000 – £50,000 and are a mixture of reactive maintenance and small refurbishment projects, bathrooms, kitchens, internal and external decorations.
