Join Our Team as a Paramedic Functional Assessor

We are seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our team as a Functional Assessor. As a Paramedic Functional Assessor, you will play a vital role in assessing individuals with physical and/or mental health conditions and determining their eligibility for the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) benefit scheme.

About the Role

As a Paramedic Functional Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting thorough, holistic assessments with individuals who have a diverse range of health conditions. You will use your clinical expertise to gather information, interpret medical evidence, and gather your findings into a comprehensive report to support the decision-making process by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough, holistic assessments with individuals who have a diverse range of health conditions
  • Use your clinical expertise to gather information, interpret medical evidence, and gather your findings into a comprehensive report
  • Work at home and in an assessment centre to complete approximately 45-minute assessments
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • NMC or HCPC registration
  • At least 1 year's broad post-registration experience
  • UK experience is essential
  • Proactive, keen to learn, and receptive to feedback
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and I.T competency
