Role Overview

The Admissions Officer will play a key role in managing and supporting all aspects of the student admissions process. This includes handling applications, conducting eligibility checks, liaising with applicants, and ensuring a smooth transition for students from application to enrolment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and evaluate student applications in accordance with admissions policies and criteria.
  • Conduct eligibility checks, including qualification and identity verification, and maintain accurate records.
  • Communicate effectively with applicants, guiding them through each stage of the admissions process.
  • Coordinate admissions interviews and assessments, including scheduling and liaising with academic staff.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to enquiries from prospective students and parents via phone, email, and in person.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless enrolment process for new students.
  • Update and maintain the admissions database to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Assist in developing and implementing admissions events and open days.
  • Support the wider admissions and marketing team with administrative tasks as required.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Strong organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines.
  • A customer-focused approach, with the ability to provide high-quality service to all stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using admissions or CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, SIMS) is preferred.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Prior experience in admissions, customer service, or administration within an educational or similar environment is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the UK education system is advantageous.
