Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children's Registered Manager to lead our new two-bedded homes specialising in Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in Swindon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operation of the children's residential home in accordance with the standards set by OFSTED/CQC.
  • Ensure the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and welfare for all children.
  • Foster a positive working environment through training and supervision, inspiring, leading, and managing a team of staff to promote professional development and ensure the highest level of care is provided for our children.
  • Develop and implement personalised care plans that meet the individual needs of the children.
  • Work closely with external agencies, families, and professionals for comprehensive care.
  • Maintain all necessary records and documentation in compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided and take action to achieve continuous improvement.
  • Attend regular meetings and represent the organisation.

Requirements:

  • Relevant social care qualification, ideally Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
  • OFSTED certification.
  • Proven experience managing EBD homes or similar settings.
  • Previous management or deputy experience looking to step up.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, including OFSTED standards and legislation relating to children's care.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, and staff effectively.
  • A strong commitment to promoting the wellbeing and development of children.
