Quarry Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated individual to manage the Middleton Quarry in Middleton-in-Teesdale.
This role will report into the Operations Manager and be responsible for the safe and efficient management and operation of the busy quarries in line with the Quarries Regulations 1999.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the production of high PSV and sand & gravel aggregates.
- Implement planned preventative maintenance schemes and monitor energy consumption.
- Ensure continuous improvement of quarry operations and safely manage teams of Breedon staff & contractors.
- Hold a regulation 8.1 appointment and possess good leadership skills to promote a positive team working.
- QCF level 6 (equivalent NVQ level 4/5) in Health, Safety & Environmental management within the extractives industry.
- Experience of holding a regulation 8.1 appointment and proof of competencies relating to that appointment.
- Comfortable with a hands-on-role to drive forward our health and safety culture and focused on the needs of our customers.
