Job Title: Quarry Manager

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated individual to manage the Middleton Quarry in Middleton-in-Teesdale. This role will report into the Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the safe and efficient operation of the quarry, ensuring compliance with the Quarries Regulations 1999.
  • Oversee the production of high PSV and sand & gravel aggregates.
  • Implement planned preventative maintenance schemes and monitor energy consumption.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of quarry operations and safely manage teams of Breedon staff & contractors.
Requirements:
  • Hold an QCF level 6 (equivalent NVQ level 4/5) in Health, Safety & Environmental management within the extractives industry.
  • Possess good leadership skills to promote a positive team working.
  • Communicate effectively with other functions within the business.
  • Have experience of holding a regulation 8.1 appointment in previous roles.
