We are seeking an accomplished Management Accountant to ensure the financial integrity of a leading charitable organisation dedicated to empowering and driving real change in local communities.

The Role:

As a Management Accountant, you'll work closely with senior leadership to deliver accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis, and strong governance. Your work will play a pivotal role in guiding strategic decisions and ensuring the continued success of community-focused programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly consolidated management accounts.
  • Prepare journals and variance analysis.
  • Review profit and loss statements and conduct monthly reviews of financials with the Management Team.
  • Develop budgets and forecasts.
  • Draft statutory financial accounts.
  • Lead audit preparations, ensuring compliance with relevant charity regulations and standards.
  • Oversee payroll, donations, VAT returns, and intercompany transactions.
  • Support program costing to enable sustainable growth for community initiatives.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of finance experience, including 2 in a similar role.
  • Fully qualified Accountant or progressing towards an accounting qualification.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint, along with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience in project costing and financial governance.
  • A background in charitable accounting standards would be advantageous.
