Job Title: Branded Content Producer

We're seeking a talented Branded Content Producer to lead our Dorset team and develop creative ways of telling complex stories that resonate with our diverse audiences.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity will see you lead a team of audio content producers to create engaging and high-quality content for our Dorset Breakfast show, ensuring we achieve the highest levels of creativity and editorial standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the team to develop creative ways of telling complex stories that make sense to our audience
  • Have editorial oversight of the show and ensure implementation of the BBC Local's strategy and the BBC's editorial policy
  • Seek improvements in content production to increase efficiency of working practices
  • Ensure our content reflects our diverse audiences and keep up to date with emerging industry trends
  • Coordinate coverage with the news team and social content producers
Requirements
  • Sound editorial judgement and a thorough knowledge of the BBC's editorial and legal guidelines
  • Strong track record in content and programme production
  • Significant experience in producing and delivering multiplatform content
  • Ability to establish effective short and long-term relationships with a wide range of people, staff, partners, and agencies
  • Highly developed planning and organising skills and ability to manage several pieces of work at one time
  • Proven experience of leading and motivating a team, and actively managing team performance
  • Experience and knowledge of managing financial budgets and production schedules
