Job Title: Senior Digital Content Producer

About the Role:



We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Digital Content Producer to join our team at BBC Studios. As a Senior Digital Content Producer, you will be responsible for producing and delivering distinctive multiplatform content that engages diverse audiences.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Oversee and manage the delivery of digital content, ensuring it meets the highest creative and editorial standards.
  • Work closely with existing in-house and third-party producers and shooter-editors to ideate, commission research, review, and provide edit notes on short-form films.
  • Ensure that content reflects our diverse audiences and develops positive working relationships with staff, contributors, and talent.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the department's strategy and policy.
  • Accountable for the compliance and content delivery of output, acting within BBC Editorial, Legal, Child Protection, and Health & Safety guidelines.


Requirements:




  • A demonstrable knowledge of cars and the automotive industry.
  • A thorough knowledge of BBC editorial guidelines and other compliance policies.
  • A strong track record in the automotive content vertical with a wide-ranging knowledge of production processes.
  • Ability to establish effective short- and long-term relationships with a wide range of people, talent, partners, and agencies.
  • Highly developed planning and organising skills.
  • Able to lead the team to develop creative ideas that engage diverse audiences in a demanding creative environment.
  • Experience of managing and motivating a team, and actively managing team performance, including talent.
  • An up-to-date knowledge of the BBC's diverse audiences and their needs and expectations.
  • Experience and knowledge of managing financial budgets and production schedules.

This role will be an integral part of Top Gear's digital content team, who originate, produce, and deliver automotive and tech content for publication on the brand's social channels and website.

Contract: 6 month FTC

Location: Office Base is London - This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office working with home working.
