Job Title: Assistant Event Producer

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Assistant Event Producer to join our team at the BBC Proms. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the planning and coordination of live events, including the BBC Proms season.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage specific Prom events at the Royal Albert Hall and other venues in collaboration with Event Producers.
  • Support Event Producers on large-scale live events.
  • Produce key event paperwork, including concert summaries, stage layouts, and rehearsal schedules.
  • Brief and liaise with Radio and TV broadcast teams on all matters relating to each allocated Prom.
  • Concert manager for a selection of Proms, ensuring the smooth running of the event on stage in conjunction with broadcasts.
  • Manage event budgets for each allocated Prom.
  • Contribute to the full life-cycle of key overview systems, paperwork, and processes.

Requirements:

  • Good experience in the organisation and logistical planning of live classical music events with multiple stakeholders.
  • Good knowledge of Radio and TV Music production and their output.
  • Ability to liaise sensitively with Proms talent at all levels and a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Good ability to problem-solve, manage event timelines, negotiate, and organise live events within budget constraints.
  • Good communicator able to motivate and foster collaboration in a diverse team to deliver live events successfully.
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety regulations and matters relating to child protection.
  • Good knowledge of office IT packages, including Artifax Event, Visio, and Microsoft Teams.
