As a key member of our debt recovery team, you will be responsible for managing accounts in arrears, establishing and maintaining relationships with tenants, negotiating payments, and ensuring maximum recovery of overdue payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts in arrears, ensuring timely and effective recovery of outstanding debts.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with tenants, communicating effectively to resolve payment issues and negotiate payment arrangements.
  • Monitor and report on rent arrears, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with policies and procedures relevant to debt collection.
  • Make recommendations to serve notice to tenants where all necessary criteria are met.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of related policies, procedures, and service improvement plans.

Requirements:

  • Organized and efficient with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Positive attitude and high motivation to achieve individual and team targets.
  • Flexible approach to working.
  • Preferred experience in collections/credit control, lettings, or high-volume call handling.
