Job Title: Senior Pensions Administrator

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pensions Administrator to join our client's business team in York. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day administration of SSAS pension schemes, as well as being the main point of contact for clients and intermediaries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establishing and managing SSAS pension schemes
  • Preparing accounts, valuations, and fund splits
  • Opening scheme bank accounts and managing transactions
  • Handling transfers, contributions, tax reclaims, and relief at source
  • Reporting to HMRC and dealing with bank borrowing
  • General scheme investments, VAT registration, returns, and deregistration
  • Benefit calculations, property purchase/sale/lease, rent invoicing, and monitoring
  • Dealing with The Pensions Regulator and Information Commissioner Registration and Returns
Requirements
  • Essential experience in SSAS or SIPP pensions administration
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
