We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic School Planning Manager to join our Access to Education team at Middlesbrough Council.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out demographic analysis to predict demand for school places and make suitable arrangements to ensure supply meets demand.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders on complex projects to ensure every Middlesbrough child can access a suitable school place.
  • Develop and implement effective school place planning strategies to meet the needs of the community.
  • Provide statistical analysis and reporting to inform decision-making and drive forward projects.
  • Build strong relationships with schools, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Experience of school place planning or a similar activity.
  • Successful track record of working collaboratively with stakeholders on complex projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
