Job Title: Director of Asset Optimisation

About the Role:

Thirteen Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Asset Optimisation to join their team. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction on developing comprehensive asset and portfolio management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, update, and embed asset strategy, including sustainability and decarbonisation approaches.
  • Lead asset appraisal methodologies to assess portfolio value and performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate option appraisals into business and financial planning.
  • Ensure group's asset data is complete, fit for purpose, and accurate.
  • Align option appraisal plans with safety standards, decarbonisation requirements, and government policy.
  • Manage stock disposals and acquisition activity.
  • Review and improve data collection, stock condition processes, and systems infrastructure.
  • Lead corporate approach to sustainability and decarbonisation.
  • Monitor and report on areas of responsibilities to leadership team, committees, and Board.

Requirements:

  • A proven track record of successful strategic leadership and direct management of colleagues within strategic asset management and portfolio operations.
  • Detailed knowledge of mandatory legislation and regulations relevant to the service area.
  • Proven ability to analyse and solve complex problems, alongside excellent programme and project management skills.
  • Able to prioritise to achieve realistic targets, costs, and time deadlines.
  • A skilled influencer and negotiator able to communicate effectively with external stakeholders, customers, staff, and Board members.
  • Well-developed business management skills and understanding of delivering an excellent customer-based service in a complex organisation.
  • Experience of bidding and producing tenders for contracts.
  • Ability to lead, inspire, motivate, and develop colleagues at all levels.
