Director of Asset Optimization

Thirteen Group is seeking a senior leader to join their team as Director of Asset Optimisation. This exciting opportunity will involve providing strategic direction on developing comprehensive asset and portfolio management strategies to ensure the Group has a portfolio of homes and properties that are fit for now and the future.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Embed Asset Strategy: Develop, update, and embed asset strategy, including sustainability and decarbonisation approaches, to ensure the Group's asset data is complete, fit for purpose, and accurate.
- Lead Asset Appraisal Methodologies: Lead asset appraisal methodologies to assess portfolio value and performance, and be the corporate owner of appraisal methodology.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate option appraisals into business and financial planning, and align option appraisal plans with safety standards, decarbonisation requirements, and government policy.
- Manage Stock Disposals and Acquisition Activity: Manage stock disposals and acquisition activity, working with the wider business and external partners, to improve outcomes in services and enhance satisfaction, customer experience, and housing standards.
- Review and Improve Data Collection: Review and improve data collection, stock condition processes, and systems infrastructure to ensure the Group's asset data is complete, fit for purpose, and accurate.
- Lead Corporate Approach to Sustainability: Lead corporate approach to sustainability and decarbonisation, informing long-term business and strategic planning, and contribute to the Group's Senior Leadership Team, delivering on strategic priorities and developing a values-led, high-performing, commercially driven culture.
Thirteen Group is looking for a senior leader with a proven track record of successful strategic leadership and direct management of colleagues within strategic asset management and portfolio operations. The ideal candidate will have detailed knowledge of mandatory legislation and regulations relevant to the service area, and be able to analyse and solve complex problems, alongside excellent programme and project management skills.
The successful candidate will be a skilled influencer and negotiator able to communicate effectively with external stakeholders, customers, staff, and Board members, including report writing and presentations. They will also have experience of bidding and producing tenders for contracts, and be able to recognise growth and establish sound strategies for acquiring and delivering growth streams.
