About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our Attendance Improvement Team as an Attendance and Internal Truancy Officer. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting and engaging with students and their families to improve attendance levels and reduce persistent absence.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively support and engage with students and their families to improve attendance levels and reduce persistent absence.
- Work closely with the Attendance & Student Services Manager to develop and implement strategies to improve attendance and reduce truancy.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure a cohesive approach to attendance improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to students and their families to help them overcome barriers to attendance.
- Monitor and track attendance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements
- High standards and expectations with a positive 'can do' attitude.
- Ability to work effectively with students, families, and staff to achieve attendance improvement goals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends.
- Knowledge of attendance improvement strategies and best practices.
