Job Role: Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Lead

We're seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to join our Commercial Marine business at Dalgety Bay, Dunfermline. Our facility designs and manufactures high-quality stabiliser and steering gear systems for commercial and naval customers, along with providing comprehensive commercial marine equipment services in the UK.

This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence and deliver exceptional results. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in manufacturing engineering and quality management to drive continuous improvement and enhance supplier relationships.

Key Objectives
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance supplier capabilities in meeting quality, cost, delivery, and lead-time requirements.
- Establish strong partnerships with suppliers, fostering open communication and collaborative problem-solving.
- Drive process improvements and implement effective containment measures in response to supplier-related issues.
- Analyze supplier performance data and develop targeted improvement plans to address identified gaps.
- Deliver high-quality training and coaching sessions for suppliers to reinforce their knowledge and skills.
- Generate detailed supplier performance reports to inform strategic decision-making.
- Facilitate the supplier approval process, collaborating with Category Managers and local Purchasing team members.
- Conduct thorough supplier audits in accordance with international standards (ISO9001, 14001, 45001, and ESG).
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with regulatory non-compliance, health and safety concerns, and environmental liabilities affecting manufacturing processes and customer expectations.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering processes impacting product lifecycles to drive informed decision-making.

Salary Range: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience.
