WhereToTalk: Student Counsellor Position

We are seeking a skilled Student Counsellor to join our team at WhereToTalk in Leyland, Lancashire.

The estimated salary for this role is £32,436 per annum, with the potential for pay award increases.

This part-time position involves working 6.5 hour days across Tuesday to Friday, with flexibility to adapt to the needs of our students.

As a Student Counsellor, you will be responsible for providing face-to-face, online, and telephone consultations to support the wellbeing and safeguarding needs of our students.

To succeed in this role, you must hold full counselling qualifications, be a member of BACP or an equivalent organisation, and have extensive experience working with young people in an education setting.

You will be a team player, highly organised, driven, and possess meticulous record-keeping skills.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Counselling students in a safe and confidential environment
  • Developing and implementing effective counselling plans
  • Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to ensure student wellbeing
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress and outcomes
