About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and caring Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Kingfisher Nursing Home, part of Westgate Healthcare. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare meals to the highest standards, using fresh and seasonal ingredients
  • Assist with the cleaning of serveries and kitchens on a daily basis, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment
  • Collect and distribute crockery, ensuring that all equipment is clean and in good working order
  • Carry out any reasonable request or instruction from the Home Manager or Head Cook
Requirements
  • The right to live and work in the UK
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work in a team, with a caring nature and a positive attitude
  • An understanding of Health and Safety, Infection Control and COSHH
  • Previous experience of working in a similar position is desirable but not essential
