Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Chef to join our team at Kingfisher Nursing Home in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing delicious and nutritious meals for our residents.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Prepare hot and cold meals according to the needs and preferences of our residents
  • Assist with planning seasonal menus to ensure variety and freshness
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic environment, adhering to Health & Safety regulations
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including temperature checks and reporting incidents

Requirements:



  • Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a care home or school setting
  • Certificate Level II in Food Safety and Hygiene
  • Knowledge of nutritional needs of older people
  • Positive attitude towards work and ability to work well in a team
