About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Wastewater Adoption Inspector to join our team at Leep Utilities. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our wastewater infrastructure is installed and adopted to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Inspections: Conduct thorough site inspections to ensure that wastewater infrastructure is installed in accordance with approved plans and designs.
  • Asset Management: Maintain accurate records of wastewater assets and ensure that they are fit for adoption.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve any engineering issues that may arise.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety protocols are adhered to at all times.
  • Asset Documentation: Collect and document water assets on our Leep Utilities Asset Database.
  • Adoption Process: Ensure that sewer networks are constructed and adopted in accordance with approved drawings and design and construction guidance.
  • Site Meetings: Attend pre-construction site meetings with developers and their groundwork contractors.
  • Testing and Inspection: Witness air tests/pressure tests of sewer networks and pressure pipes to ensure compliance with design and construction guidance.
  • Programme Management: Plan and independently manage your site inspection programme to ensure that all construction sites are monitored to the appropriate standard.
About You
  • Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of wastewater assets and the design and installation process is essential.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer-based packages, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as mobile devices and applications.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to develop strong customer relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to work independently and resolve engineering issues that may arise.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Driving Licence: Full driving licence required.
  • Background Experience: Background experience in drainage infrastructure construction and adoptions is essential.
