**About the Role**

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Sports and Leisure Officer to join our team at Teacheroo, a fully co-educational school in Edinburgh. This is a varied role, requiring you to deliver high-quality customer experiences for all users.

As part of our team, you will ensure a safe, secure, and clean environment for users. The hours will be based on a rota, including evening and weekend shifts, and line management by the Sports Hub Manager. Seasonal hours will be available for sports coaching during school holidays and assisting with holiday camps.

The role involves communicating with multiple stakeholders internally and externally within the local community. Effective interaction with children, adults, parents, teachers, staff, and colleagues is essential. You will demonstrate a keen interest in sport and fitness, and ideally hold leisure qualifications such as NPLQ Trainer/Assessor or First Aid.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and maintenance in all areas of the Sports Hub, both inside and outside.
  • Work at Reception, dealing with telephone calls and emails, and liaising with service users.
  • Set up and take down sports equipment, ensuring timely start and finish times for bookings.
  • Supervise patrons using equipment, including teams, adults, teenagers, and children.
  • Deal with customer queries in person and over the telephone.
  • Charge admission, take bookings, rent out equipment, or answer the phone.
  • Open and close New Field pitches and facilities, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
  • Pitch inspections of New Field pitches, reporting defects or breakages.
  • Assist at unique events and help with external events.

About Us:

Teacheroo is a member of HMC, with Junior and Senior Schools on separate sites. Our School has spacious grounds and sports facilities, including playing fields, an all-weather sports area, and a large Sports Hall and Centre.

Estimated Salary:** £22,000 - £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
