Job Overview

As a key member of our Estates & Facilities department, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the portering service, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a professional and timely manner.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operations of the portering department, providing an excellent customer-focused service.
  • Supervise and administer post holders, including appraisals, attendance, and booking of bank staff.
  • Coordinate and produce staff duties/rosters, ensuring adequate staffing levels and covering staff absence.
  • Liaise with patients, trust departments, services, and external companies in a professional manner, resolving problems according to Department SOPs and trust policy.
Requirements
  • QCF/NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care or related field.
  • Management or Supervisory qualification NVQ 3 or higher.
  • 2 years' experience in Management or Team Leading in Healthcare/Facilities or associated organisation.
  • Experience of carrying out audits and delivering training.
