Job Title: Disability Services Assistant

About the Role

Oxfordshire County Council provides care and transportation services for vulnerable individuals. Our team operates specialized passenger vehicles, ensuring a safe and dignified experience for our service users. As a Disability Services Assistant, you will play a crucial role in this process.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Drive a company minibus and assist in the safe conveyance of service users to/from SEN schools, Adult and Learning Disability Day Services, and other activities.
  • Provide accurate care during transportation, including assistance with boarding and alighting from the vehicle.
Key Requirements:
  • A mature and disciplined approach to duties, maintaining high standards of customer care, accuracy, safety, and effectiveness.
  • Hold a full driving license with D, D1, or D1 101 categories.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations and work comfortably around people with learning and physical disabilities.
Salary:

The salary for this role is £28,000 - £33,000 per annum, plus benefits.
