About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team at Whitetrees Group. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Registered Homes Manager in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our residential care home.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the Registered Homes Manager: Assist in ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as meeting all relevant regulatory requirements.
  2. Deputise for the Registered Manager: Act up for the Registered Manager in their absence, ensuring the continuity of care and services.
  3. Safeguard and Promote the Welfare of Young People: Safeguard and promote the welfare and development of the young people in our care, ensuring their needs are recognised and met.
  4. Ensure a Safe and Sensitive Environment: Ensure the home provides a safe and sensitive environment for the young people, meeting their individual needs and promoting their well-being.
  5. Support the Manager and Team: Support the Registered Manager and team in ensuring the admission of young people to the home is welcoming and reflects the expectations of their care plan.
  6. Oversee Care Plans: Oversee the development, monitoring, and implementation of individual young people's care plans and case records.
  7. Develop Good Working Relationships: Develop and maintain good working relationships with parents, social workers, schools, and other professionals.
  8. Plan and Manage Shifts: Plan, manage, and lead shifts, ensuring children are kept safe and engaged.
Requirements
  1. Qualifications and Experience: 12 months in a Deputy role, QCF Level 3 minimum, with a willingness to complete QCF Level 5.
  2. Leadership and Management Skills: Demonstrate effective leadership and management skills, supporting the staff team and promoting a positive work environment.
  3. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with young people, staff, and external professionals.
  4. Training and Development: Participate in regular training and development opportunities, including White Trees Induction Programme, NFPS Physical Intervention and Behaviour Management Training, and DSL- Level 3 safeguard training for designated leads.
