Deputy Manager Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Kaplan International Languages. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in the management of our student accommodation in Bournemouth, ensuring that our properties are managed and operated in line with agreed operating principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of student accommodation, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of quality and service.
  • Recruit, train, manage, motivate, and develop staff and Student Reps to ensure they deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Work closely with the management team to develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure that our properties are operated efficiently and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders to ensure that our services meet their needs.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership and management experience in a customer-facing environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers and colleagues alike.
  • Experience of working in a Health and Safety culture, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Strong IT skills, with the ability to adapt to new systems and technologies.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including out-of-hours support in an emergency if required.
