As an experienced Counselling Psychologist, you will have the opportunity to join our team as an Education Fellow, working across the Team Barts Health Psychological Support Service (PSS) and the Education Academy (EA). The successful candidate will split their time between the two areas, with 60% dedicated to clinical work and 40% to education delivery. This is a fixed-term contract of 10 months, with the possibility of extension.

The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree in Clinical or Counselling Psychology and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist. They will possess excellent communication and relationship skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a sensitive manner. Previous experience of supporting staff and teams in a training or educational setting is essential, as well as experience of teaching and training other professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working closely with the Education Academy to develop and deliver high-quality educational programs for doctors in training
  • Providing one-on-one sessions, teaching sessions, and facilitated training sessions to support the mental health and wellbeing of doctors in training
  • Developing and delivering positive and proactive wellbeing initiatives within educational settings

Requirements:
  • Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counselling Psychology
  • Registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist
  • Excellent communication and relationship skills
  • Previous experience of supporting staff and teams in a training or educational setting
  • Experience of teaching and training other professionals

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience
